Semi-Open Adoption

A semi-open adoption allows for communication with the child and adoptive family, but all interactions are mediated by a third party, such as an adoption agency or attorney.

Closed Adoption

Closed adoptions provide the highest level of privacy. In this scenario, you do not know the adoptive family’s identity, and there is no communication between you and them. Your identifying records are sealed, ensuring your anonymity. This option is often chosen for its confidentiality.
